2024 Elections: Bawumia Storms Mahama’s Backyard Intensifying Engagements Up North
After a four-day break from his highly successful Northern Regional tour, flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia returns to the campaign trail today in the North.
Dr. Bawumia took a break for official duties in Accra and his return to his tour will see him cover the remaining constituencies in the northern sector.
Dr. Bawumia, who started his Northern campaign following the unveiling his Running Mate, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, has so far toured about half of constituencies engaging with the traditional rulers and constituents.
His engagements have attracted multitudes from the various communities who pledge their unwavering belief in his vision for Ghana and Bole is no exception as his visit called in a mammoth crowd as well.
Bole used to be a complete safe ground for the opposition NDC, a place where they win by landslide, but since the emergence of Dr. Bawumia, the NDC’s dominance has shattered in spite of former President Mahama being the party’s candidate in the last three general elections.
Dr. Bawumia has been receiving the support and blessings of traditional rulers in his bid to become President in 2025.
He tours the Savannah Region today, first by storming Bile, the home of his political contender, former President John Mahama.
