2024 Post-Election Violence: Prosecute All Offenders; Send Them To Court – Atik Charges Police
Atik Mohammed has condemned the violent acts by some people believed to be affiliated with the National Democratic Congress.
Some people, after the elections on Saturday, December 7, thronged the streets vandalizing public and private properties.
The NDC supporters destroyed storage establishments, collation centers, billboards and other things.
Over a 100 people have been arrested in connection with the vandalism.
Atik, a former PNC General Secretary, has charged the Police to ensure the offenders face the full rigors of the law.
He noted during Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show that such acts are shameful and shouldn’t be encouraged.
“I condemn that in no uncertain terms and I expect the security officials to ensure all those arrested are sent to court. My information is that some of them have been remanded while others are being prosecuted. This is the way to go”, he asserted.
