2025 AFCON Qualifiers: Probability Of Losing Against Sudan Is Low if… – Otto Addo
Ghana head coach, Otto Addo, is optimistic about his team’s chances against Sudan, stating that the likelihood of a loss is minimal.
The Black Stars are set to host the Falcons for the first leg of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying doubleheader on Thursday at the Accra Sports Stadium, with kickoff at 16:00 GMT.
After a challenging start to their qualifying campaign, which included a 1-0 defeat to Angola and a 1-1 draw against Niger, the four-time African champions are eager for a victory to rejuvenate their chances.
Currently, Ghana sits in third place with just one point.
In a press conference on Wednesday, Addo expressed confidence in his players, asserting, “The probability that we lose tomorrow against Sudan very, very low if we do our homework, if we are concentrated and if we play together as a team.”
The second leg of the matchup is scheduled for Monday, October 14, at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya. Ghana, aiming to secure their fifth continental title, last lifted the trophy in 1982.
