27th Jan Election: Any Persons Who Photograph Their Votes Will Be Arrested – NPP Warns

The New Patriotic Party has warned its delegates not to take pictures of their votes during their 27th January parliamentary election.
The party will on Saturday elect their parliamentary aspirants at constituencies with sitting Members of Parliament to prepare them for the December 7 elections.
The leadership of the New Patriotic Party has served notice to all members of the party who will be voting on the day to desist from publishing their votes.
According to the General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, the party will not hesitate to hand over the offenders to the Police.
“Those who take pictures of their votes, aside from nullifying your votes, it is an offence and you would be handed over to the Police.”
The NPP also cautioned the candidates to refrain from transporting or camping the delegates in preparation for the election.
“The party has formulated these rules and regulations to ensure free and fair elections and we believe that everyone should be allowed to feel free to walk to the polling centre to cast their votes. It is of this belief that we have made the statement that no one should camp delegates at any place”, Mr. Frimpong Kodua said during a press conference on Monday, January 22, in Kumasi.
