NPP Manifesto Launch: Bawumia Is An ‘Exceptional Leader’ And Will Be Great President
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is an “exceptional leader”, General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party has appealed to Ghanaians to vote massively for the party’s flagbearer in the December 7 polls.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Koduah, delivering a speech to pave way for Dr. Bawumia to lead the launch of the party’s 2024 Manifesto held at GSTS at Takoradi on Sunday, August 18, touted their presidential candidate to proffer great initiatives to augment the good works of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and ameliorate the living conditions of the Ghanaian populace.
“A prominent man once told me that they are three kinds of leaders; an ordinary leader, an exceptional leader and an incompetent leader. For an ordinary leader, he is the one who accepts the challenges but did not have solutions.
“For an incompetent leader is the one so refuses to even admit challenges and takes delight in ridiculing the people with comments such as ‘I’m not a m magician to create jobs’, such as ‘you have so many phones, that’s why we have unstable electricity’, such as ‘I’ve cancelled nursing and teacher trainee allowances even if it will cost my Presidency’. However, an exceptional leader is the one who accepts that there are challenges but continues to proffer solution to these challenges such as introducing digitalization, medical drone delivery, gold for oil and many more”, he said.
He told Ghanaians of who to pick as the next President.
“Certainly, Dr. Bawumia is an exceptional leader. As for the incompetent leader, your guess is as good as mine. As a Ghanaian, I am concerned about who leads this country in the next four years and I know all meaning Ghanaians are equally concerned and well therefore choose a leader who will account to them after his 4 years stewardship opposed to one who after just 4 years will exit office.”
He continued; “With Dr. Bawumia, Ghanaians will have the chance to evaluate his administration after 4 years and decide to whether renew his mandate or not. Therefore, Ghanaians can hold him accountable to his manifesto.”
Justin Koduah stressed; “I trust Dr. Bawumia and I know that he will be a great President for us.”
He took a swipe at the main opposition leader and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama, saying “I am not surprised at all because even in exams, students who don’t prepare always want the good ones so that they can copy them. So, I will not be surprised that people will be covering our manifesto because they are waiting for us the good ones to start”.
The event under the theme “To Lead Is To Solve” saw in attendance His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and wife, Samira Bawumia, the party’s Vice Presidential Candidate, Dr. Matthew Opoku-Prempeh, popularly called “NAPO”, leading members and supporters of the NPP as well as other dignitaries.
