We’ll Thoroughly Scrutinize Your Nomination Forms – EC To Presidential Aspirants

Over 30 people have reportedly revealed their ambition to contest the upcoming December presidential election.

Made up of 27 independent candidates and 12 political parties, the candidates are to file their nomination with the Electoral Commission.

The Vice President and flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer; John Dramani Mahama, New Force leader; Nana Kwame Bediako, have submitted their nomination forms to the Commisison.

Following the filing of the forms, the Commission has promised to engage in a thorough review process.

“We have established two teams to carry out the review process, and we have sufficient time to address any errors identified in the forms, should corrections be needed”, EC Chairperson, Jean Mensa, said.

She added; “We will leave no stone unturned in our review of the nomination forms…we owe it to the people of Ghana to ensure that the election process is free and fair.”
