Galamsey Is Worse Than Civil War – Nana Ohene Ntow 

Nana Ohene Ntow has backed the call for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to declare a state of emergency over galamsey.

Galamsey (illegal mining) has become the bane of the nation with activities of the illegal miners destroying the water bodies and environment.

Speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, Nana Ohene Ntow feared the danger that this illegal mining menace is breeding in the country.

He also expressed fears that the galamseyers are empowered to carry on their activities as they are said to wield guns and other offensive weapons.

To him, galamsey is a an “emergency” that must not be treated with kid gloves.

“This is worse than civil war…We are in state of emergency”, he said.
