AFCON 2023: Check List Of Black Stars Who Made It To Training

Ghana’s national team, the Black Stars, commenced their training towards the 2023 African Cup of Nations to be held in Cote D’Ivoire on Monday, January 2, 2024.

The training which will last for nine days and led by Head coach Chris Hughton is taking place at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex at Abrankese.

Twenty-four (24) players participated in the rigorous training session.

Among them were notable faces like Joseph Wollacott, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Alidu Seidu, Denis Odoi, Kingsley Schindler, Gideon Mensah, Abdul Fatawu Hamid, Nicholas Opoku, and Daniel Amartey.

The complete list of the team comprises Salisu Mohammed, Alexander Djiku, Baba Iddrisu, Elisha Owusu, Abdul Samed Salis, Richmond Lamptey, Majeed Ashimeru, Andre Ayew, Ransford Yeboah Koningsdorffer, Osman Bukari, Joseph Painstil, Ernest Nuamah, Antoine Semenyo, and Jonathan Sowah.

Ghana is scheduled to engage in an international friendly against Namibia on Monday, January 8, 2024 in preparation for this year’s AFCON.
