Bawumia Returns To The North After His Ashanti Regional Tour
After his electrifying two-week tour of the Ashanti Region, NPP presidential candidate, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has returned to North.
Dr. Bawumia started his constituency-focused tour in the Northern Region in July and since then, he has toured almost all constituencies in the sixteen Regions.
Dr. Bawumia’s return to the North was welcomed with enthusiasm as he toured three constituencies in the Northern Region; Kumbungu, Tolon and Tamale South.
He started in Kumbungu, a constituency that traditionally votes for NDC, and pulled a large crowd sending shivers down the spine of his opponents.
He then moved to Tolon, a place where the NPP has been winning in the past two elections.
Tolon is the constituency represented by Deputy Majority Chief Whip, Habib Iddrisu.
The constituents showed massive support for Dr. Bawumia as they turned up to the rally in huge numbers with people describing it as the biggest political gathering in the area.
Dr. Bawumia further proceeded to the Regional capital, Tamale, specifically Tamale South.
A similar scene was witnessed at Tamale South, proving the unparalleled impact that Dr. Bawumia is having even within the constituencies that are traditionally NDC-inclined.
In his interaction with community leaders and the people, Dr. Bawumia shared his vision and policies to advancing the progress of Ghana.
He also reminded the constituents about the poor track record of his main opponent, former President John Mahama who also hails from the North saying when he got his chance to lead as President, all that he succeeded doing is disappointing the Northern sector and the country at large.
