Digitalization Is The Next Best Thing For Ghana – Atik ‘Endorses’ Bawumia For President

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, NPP flagbearer

Atik Mohammed has given Ghanaians a clear option on who to lead Ghana into the 4th Revolution era.

According to him, Ghanaians should ask themselves critical questions before electing the next President, hence noting the December 7 election is about the destiny of the country.

The former PNC General Secretary stressed technology is the important tool to accelerate the growth of Ghana’s economy, therefore urged Ghanaians to make a wise decision regarding the future of the nation.

He emphasized that the world is currently technology-driven, therefore the electorates, he asserted, must choose the candidate who has prioritized digitalization.

“At this stage, without technology as a country, we can’t go anywhere and if anybody tells you that technology doesn’t count in economy growth, it means the person doesn’t understand how economic growth is determined”, he said in his submissions on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show.

He advised Ghanaians to “divorse sentiments” and “look at which of the candidates has what it takes to take you to the next level. That, for me, is the most important thing”.

“A time is coming that our jobs will not be done manually again. Everything is going to be technology-driven. So, which of the two candidates has what it takes to present Ghana with the opportunities that this revolution brings?”, he queried.

Atik seemingly endorsed Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, NPP presidential candidate, saying “I think Dr. Bawumia has elected technology to be the cornerstone of whatever he is doing. So, when it comes to who is outspoken about technology and digitalization, I think Bawumia has shown that his faith in technology cannot be underrated”.
