‘NPP Will Bounce Back Again’ – Gov’t Spokesperson

Kofi Tonto, a Government Spokesperson under the Akufo-Addo administration, says the New Patriotic Party will “bounce back” following the party’s fiasco in the just-ended presidential and parliamentary elections.

The New Patriotic Party failed to attain the required votes to emerge victor in the election as their flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia polled 4.6 million votes while the President-elect, John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress garner close to 6.4 million votes.

As the NPP expects to conduct a thorough introspection, Kofi Tonto, on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show, is of a strong faith that the party will rebuild and come back in 2028.

“We don’t need Mahama to fail to be successful. We will be successful. NPP will bounce back again…This party will bounce back again and we will do big and greater things. New and young spirited with new ideas will come and take this party to the next level”, Kofi Tonto remarked.

He wished the President-elect John Mahama well as he takes the reins of government in 2025.

“NDC must do well. They must succeed and it won’t change the fact that God willing, in 2028, we will rebuild this party and come back because we have the ideas. We have new innovation; we have the creativity. We have the mindset to change this country and we must rely on somebody’s failure.”
