Haruna Iddrisu To Become Education Minister

Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Haruna Iddrisu, according to sources close to Ghmessenger, has been nominated to head the Education Ministry.

The President, H.E. John Dramani Mahama is said to have settled on Haruna Iddrisu to revolutionize the education sector.

Following the revelation of this appointment, many Ghanaians have been commending the President stressing he has made the right choice.

About Haruna Iddrisu

Haruna Iddrisu is a Ghanaian lawyer and an astute politician.

He is the Member of Parliament for Tamale South in the Northern Region.

Iddrisu studied at the University of Ghana between 1993 and 1997 and obtained B.A. (Hons) in Sociology.

He later transitioned into mainstream national politics and in 2002, became the National Youth Organizer for the National Democratic Congress.

He served as Minister of Communications in the Atta Mills government.

Iddrisu served as the Ranking Member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Communications and also the Minority Spokesperson on Communications in the 4th Parliament.

He is also a football enthusiast and owns Karela United and Steadfast Football clubs.
