Special Prosecutor Cites Ofori-Atta For Corruption; Declares Him ‘Wanted’

The Office of the Special Prosecutor has declared Ken Ofori-Atta “wanted”, citing the former Finance Minister for corruption-related offences.

The Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, reportedly directed some military officers numbering about 12 who on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, raided Ken Ofori-Atta’s private residence at Cantonments.

He is said to have summoned the former Minister to assist in investigations and asked him to appear on Monday, February 10, 2025 but the Ofori-Atta’s lawyers had responded on his behalf.

Although the raid was done in the absence of Ofori-Atta who, according to grapevine reports, is currently in the United States on health grounds, the latter’s excuse has been taken with a pinch of salt by the Special Prosecutor (SP).

The SP has dismissed the claims that Ofori-Atta left the country for medical treatment.

The motive behind the raid remains sketchy but sources believe the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) led by William Kissi Agyebeng was behind the operation.

However, the Special Prosecutor has denied sending soldiers to the Former Minister’s house.
