Resign From Office If… – Kissi Agyebeng Told

Dr. Benjamin Otchere-Ankrah has called for the resignation of the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng.
The lecturer at the University of Ghana doubling as a Governance Analyst expressed utter disappointment in Kissi Agyebeng and questioned his modus operandi while speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show.
He sought to find out a single achievement by Mr. Agyebeng ever since he was appointed into the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
To him, the Special Prosecutor is not up to task and should lay down his tools emphasizing “if you can’t do the job, simply resign and allow someone else to efficiently do the work”.
Further touching on the way and manner the SP has been handling his cases with his recent one centered on Ken Ofori-Atta, former Finance Minister, who he declared as a “wanted fugitive” but subsequently removed the former Minister from the OSP’s wanted list, Dr. Otchere-Ankrah wondered what the Special Prosecutor seeks to achieve with such moves.
“Is it showmanship or you just want to remind us that your office still exists?…Effort is good but results are preferred. Where are his results”, he queried.
