Eid ul Fitr: Bawumia Donates 3000 Bags Of Rice To Support Muslim Community

Former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, over the weekend, despatched over 3300 bags of rice across the country to support Muslims towards the celebration of Eid ul Fitr.

Dr. Bawumia’s benevolent donation covered all sixteen Regions and the items were distributed by the Regional representatives.

Eid ul Fitr which climaxes the end of a month-long fast of Ramadan is a day of feast and Muslims are expected to support each other to ensure no one starves on such a joyous occasion.

Bawumia’s donation was a relief to many homes.

The former Vice President’s distribution summed up to 3320 bags of rice with the Ashanti Region receiving the 480 bags followed by Greater Accra and Eastern Regions with 350 and 340 respectively and trickled down to the other Regions.

Dr. Bawumia also presented bags of rice to the National Chief Imam to support the needy among the Muslim community.
