CJ Removal: You Will Not Have Peace If… – Nana B Warns Mahama

Henry Nana Boakye has cautioned His Excellency John Dramani Mahama over the attempted removal of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo and his subsequent appointment of Supreme Court Judges.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Yaw Kesseh on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show,  Henry Nana Boakye, the National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, warned the President saying if his addition of seven judges to the Supreme Court and eagerness to dismiss the Chief Justice is his attempt to continue his tenure, “then, you (Mahama) are lying. Delete such thought because it won’t work”.

Nana Boakye added that the political parties’ demonstration led by the New Patriotic Party that happened yesterday against the suspension and attempted dismissal of the Chief Justice is only the beginning, stressing the party will hold another series of activities.

He emphasized that they will ensure the President has no peace if he continues his move.

“I’m happy that this mammoth demonstration has gained attention both locally and internationally. It will end here, we’re going to announce series of activities. President Mahama, if you have an intention to touch our democracy and justice, you will never have peace. If you want peace, govern”, he said.
