Thank You Tour: Where’s The Discipline In Our Party? – Fmr. Subin MP Slams NPP

NPP stalwart, Eugene Boakye Antwi has blasted his party leaders for the turn of events during their thank you tour.
The New Patriotic Party led by its flagbearer of the 2024 elections and former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has embarked on a tour to thank Ghanaians, particularly members and supporters of the party, for their votes and support during last year’s elections.
The tour which was going well later turned violent with former presidential aspirant of the party cum former Assin Central lawmaker, Kennedy Agyapong clashing with the party’s Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, popularly called Abronye DC.
They two disrupted the peaceful tour by trading words.
Also, a supporter of the party was stabbed during the when the party leadership went to Kumasi in the Ashanti Region to continue the tour.
Addressing this matter on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” panel discussion show, Eugene Boakye Antwi, a former Member of Parliament for Subin, wondered how a simple thing as going to thank Ghanaians could be marred.
“Where’s the discipline? What at all has happened that we can’t handle our issues internally?”, he lamented.
To him, this doesn’t augur well for the NPP, hence called for unity but stressed this unity involves the party having a new leadership of experienced and competent people.
