Ghana’s Economy Is ‘Broke’ – Mahama

Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has slammed the President Nana Akufo-Addo and the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) over the administration of Ghana’s economy.

The former President, who is seeking re-election, in an address to NDC supporters in Hohoe in the Volta Region called out the failure of the President in improving the lives of Ghanaians.

He noted that corruption has become a fashion under this current administration.

“We will show you the books and finances of this country, and you will realize the harm that the New Patriotic Party administration has done this country, the economy is broke”, he scolded President Akufo-Addo.

Mr. Mahama, speaking further about the things he and his government would do to turn things in favor of Ghanaians if brought back into power, stated he has learned to exercise caution in making promises to the citizenry.

“…I am being very measured in the promises that I make because we all know the crisis in which this country has been plunged [into].”
