Even Mahama Who’s Elected Like A Year Ago Doesn’t Have Running Mate – Nana Akomea Shades NDC

The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is yet to select a suitable candidate to be his Running Mate, however, the competition for the slot has begun.

Although the Vice President hasn’t declared his intent pertaining to his choice of person to partner him, there are names already trickling in from the rank and file for his consideration.

One notable name that many of the members of the party are pushing for is Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Minister of Energy, who they believe has the muscle to help the New Patriotic Party and Bawumia win the 2024 presidential elections.

Nana Akomea, Chief Executive Officer of the State Transport Corporation, was asked on Peace FM’s morning show “Kokrokoo” today to disclose when Vice President Dr. Bawumia will announce his Running Mate since he plays a key role in the Bawumia campaign team and in his reply, he stated “we didn’t give him (Bawumia) a date but I feel that by May, we should have finished selection”.

When questioned further by the host as to whether May isn’t too far for the selection and announcement of the Running Mate, Nana Akomea seized the moment to throw shade at the opposition National Democratic Congress.

“Even the NDC that elected their candidate like a year ago hasn’t presented theirs yet”, he risibly responded.
