NPP Election: Housing Minister Asenso-Boakye Beats Ken Agyapong’s Brother Mercilessly

Francis Asenso-Boakye, Member of Parliament for Bantama, has calmly retained his seat despite the heat that came on his head from the camp of his opponent prior to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries today, January 27.

Hon. Asenso Boakye, who doubles as the Minister for Works and Housing, won the election by a landslide victory over the brother of Assin Central MP and a leading NPP member, Kennedy Agyapong.

Ralph Agyapong was beaten to pulp by over 400 votes difference.

Asenso-Boakye polled 650 votes out of the total 877 votes cast while Ralph Agyapong polled 181 votes.
