Julius Debrah, Kofi Boakye, Togbe Afede, Naana Jane…Who Becomes Mahama’s Running Mate?
The race for who becomes the Running Mate to Ex-President and presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama, is on as some notable names drop for his consideration.
The NDC flagbearer is currently on his “Building the Ghana We Want” campaign tour to get Ghanaians acclimatized to his vision if elected President.
With the Running Mate slot still vacuum, there is information available to Ghmessenger that lobbying for the position has begun.

The names that have popped up in the list of potential candidates suitable for the position include the former Minister of Education and 2020 Running Mate to John Mahama, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang and the former Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah.
Surprisingly, Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV is among the top names hoping to partner Mr. Mahama.
Other aspirants are retired Police Commissioner, Nathan Kofi Boakye, Eric Opoku, a Member of Parliament for Asunafo and an economist called Dr Nii Moi Thompson.
Mr. John Mahama is yet to declare his choice but it is apparent that one of these names will catch his attention.
