ECG To Disconnect Electricity To Finance Ministry & Parliament
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), according to sources, has decided to disconnect electricity supply to the Ministry of Finance.
The ECG is set for the disconnection due to the Ministry’s failure to defray its debt of GHc1 million owed to the electricity supplier.
The Finance Ministry is said to have consumed power without paying their monthly bills for the past 10 months, hence resulting in an accumulation of GHc1, 025,918.
If nothing is done in the earliest possible time to resolve the issue, the Finance Ministry will be cut off the national grid.
Also, the ECG is reported to pursue Ghana’s Parliament over the latter’s 23 million cedis debt to the company.
