Minority MPs Stage Protest Against Prez Akufo-Addo’s Nation Address
The Minority in Parliament have reportedly refused to enter their chamber for President Nana Akufo-Addo’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) happening in Parliament today.
The Minority is said to be absent in the House in protest against the President’s failure to sign some three bills they expect to be passed into law and also requesting an apology from the Bank of Ghana (BoG) Governor, accusing him of calling them names.
The Majority Leader in Parliament, Alex Afenyo-Markin, according to sources, is in talks with them to return to the House as the President delivers his address.
