Minority Returns To Parliament After Near Boycott Of Prez Akufo-Addo’s SONA

The Minority have finally returned to their chamber after nearly staging a boycott.

The Minority in Parliament left their chamber to protest the President’s inability to sign some bills they expect being passed and also sought an apology from by the Governor of the Bank of Ghana for calling them names, according to reports.

The Majority Leader, Alex Afenyo-Markin, is said to have participated in convincing them to return for the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to deliver his last State of the Nation Address.

However, reliable sources reveal to Ghmessenger that the former President and leader of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama was the principal actor in getting the Minority to come back to their chamber.

The President is in the House and will in a few minutes deliver his address following the Speaker’s introduction of guests present at the function.
