SONA 2024: ‘Woy3 Woy3 aaa JM b3ba’; ‘Dead Goat’ – Majority & Minority MPs Clash In Parliament
The Majority and Minority in Parliament have clashed in Parliament chanting the names of their presidential candidates as they were being introduced by the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin.
Both sides of Parliament zoomed into singing choruses of their campaign chants while the Speaker mentioned the names of their flagbearers.
The Minority shouted in Twi parlance “woy3 woy3 aaa JM b3ba”, to wit whether you like it or not, John Mahama, the presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress, will come into power.
In a sharp clapback, the Majority repeatedly responded “dead goat” to remind Ghanaians of Mr. Mahama’s popular statement that he is a dead goat which he said during his administration and which formed part of the reasons for his defeat in the 2016 elections.
The banter continued unabated until the Speaker, who couldn’t contain it any longer, warned them to stop and respect the standing orders of the House.
