Sister Derby Shouldn’t Have Performed At Medikal’s Concert

Entertainment analyst and artiste manager, Mr. Logic has expressed his displeasure concerning the events that unfolded during rapper Medikal’s Indigo O2 arena concert on May 3, 2024.

The event was a major success, featuring performances with top artistes like Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Bisa Kdei, Malcolm Nuna and Jay Bhad.

The event took an unexpected turn when Medikal performed with his ex, Sister Derby. Among the songs they performed was her diss track aimed at him and his estranged wife, Fella Makafui.

Discussions on social media were sparked by this performance, especially because Medikal had just announced his breakup with Fella Makafui.

Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz on Saturday, May 4, 2024, Mr. Logic criticized Sister Derby’s performance at the event.

He said it was inappropriate for her to take the stage, particularly in light of the recent reports of Medikal and his wife allegedly having a falling out.

Mr. Logic went on to say that Sister Derby appeared to be trying to revive her romance with Medikal and hurt Fella in some way through the performance.

“I also wasn’t comfortable with Sister Derby’s performance; she’s his ex, and the whole situation felt like she had taken advantage of the opportunity to grab Medikal back and hurt Fella.

“She took advantage of the situation; she is his ex, and I think she is happy now that Medikal and his wife have supposedly split.

“Among all the artists there, Sister Derby shouldn’t have performed because the split was too fresh for the two of them to be together,” he told MzGee, the host of United Showbiz.

Mr. Logic made a statement over Medikal’s declaration of being single at the concert, as well as his subsequent sharing of his hotel room number, saying it was needless and insulting to Fella.

“I wish he hadn’t come to make that statement about him being single. It wasn’t necessary; that’s a part of the show that I wish hadn’t happened. It felt like an insult or a mockery of his wife”, he said.
