President Akufo-Addo’s Convoy Involved In A Fatal Accident
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s convoy has been involved in a gory accident while returning from Kumasi to Accra after a series of events over the weekend.
The accident occurred at Bunso-Akyem Asafo stretch of the Accra-Kumasi highway.
According to a statement from the Presidency, the accident happened when a KIA Rhino truck crossed the convoy, resulting in the collision.
One person has been confirmed dead and others injured.
The injured victims were rushed to the Suhum Government Hospital for initial treatments and are currently conveyed to the University of Ghana Medical Centre for further treatment.
The President is safe and unharmed as he traveled to Accra in a military aircraft.
