‘If You Don’t Take Care, You Go Leave East Legon’ – Shatta Wale Threatens Stonebwoy
Dancehall musicians, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s beef may be far from over as the SM Boss issues another stern warning to the latter.
Shatta Wale blames Stonebwoy after the University of Ghana authorities canceled his performance at the Reunion Rave Concert that took place over weekend.
To the SM boss, it was Stonebwoy who asked them to reject him because he fears tough competition.
Since then, Shatta Wale has gone ballistic on the 2024 Artiste of the Year, raining insults on him.
Background
The school’s halls, celebrating their week, invited Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale to separate events to grace their occasion but Shatta was refused entry into the University.
According to the Dean of the University, Prof Rosina Kyerematen, the TF Hostel leadership which invited Shatta Wale did not request an Artiste Night, rather they informed her about their plan for a Karaoke Night.
This, she disclosed, is the reason for the cancellation of Shatta Wale’s concert.
“There are claims that approval had been given for an artiste night at James Top Nelson Hall and that is not true. Normally what happens is that when an event is going to be organized by any hall a request for approval is sent to my office with an outline of the programme they intend to organize.
“What they said they were going to do was a karaoke night and so we gave approval for a karaoke night and as far as I am concerned there is a big difference between a Karaoke night and an artiste night. When you are having an artiste night it comes with a lot of implications. Security and all that and so we need to ensure that there is enough security that is why you need approval from University authorities before you can organize an artiste night. Mind you there is a ban in place for student gatherings and processions.
So you cannot just get and say you are bringing an artiste such as Shatta Wale to the University of Ghana campus without the necessary arrangements being made on the ground and also without approval. They did not have approval for an artiste night. Why will the University have problems with Shatta Wale? We have nothing to do with him so why will we have a problem with him”, she explained.
Shatta Threatens Stonebwoy
This notwithstanding, Shatta Wale remains pissed and keeps inviting Stonebwoy into his fray.
He has threatened to make Stonebwoy relocate from his East Legon residence, stressing “Stonebwoy, if you don’t take care, you go leave East Legon. Ebi me I make Nana Appiah buy house for you. Kwasia, you get money to buy house?”
