Michael Essien’s Mansions To Be Sold; Court Orders
The Accra High Court Commercial Division has reportedly ordered the sale of two mansions belonging to former Ghanaian soccer icon, Michael Essien.
The properties located at Stephen Quarshie Crescent, East Legon, House Number 9 and House Number 204/205, Trassaco (Phase 2) Adjiringano, all in Accra, according to a report by Dailyguidenetwork.com, are to be auctioned.
Michael Essien, according to another publication on kickgh.com, is said to have some outstanding debts that he has failed to defray, prompting this verdict.
The Chelsea superstar is reported to be experiencing some financial challenges.
The auctioneer confirmed the order by the Deputy Sheriff of the High Court, estimating one of the properties to be valued over $20 million.
Although these are the few details shared and monitored by Ghmessenger, it appears there is more to the case than meets the eye.
