Romance Scam: Hajia4Reall Gets 1 Year In Prison And Deportation To Ghana

Hajia4Reall has reportedly been sentenced to 1 year in a United States jail after pleading guilty to romance scam.

Her jail sentence came on Friday, June 28, following various pleas by her legal representation to reduce the number of years for her.

She is said to have agreed to pay back over 2 million dollars she plundered from her unsuspecting victims and also made several arguments for a plea bargain on her jail term.

According to Inner City Press, the prosecution sought a 37-month sentence for Hajia4Reall, otherwise called Mona4Real, but the judge chose to be lenient.

“I sentence Ms Montrage to one year and one day in prison, the extra day to allow ‘good time'”, the judge is quoted in delivering the verdict.

Defense said; “We propose she be allowed to fly back to Ghana as soon as she is released, with no ICE detention.”

Montrage pleaded guilty in Manhattan Federal Court on February 21 to conspiracy to receiving stolen money.

Federal authorities said; “In total, Montrage controlled bank accounts that received over $2 million in fraudulent funds from the enterprise.

A publication on Nkonkonsa.com also revealed; “Montrage and other scammers convinced their lovelorn marks to help move gold to the US from overseas; to help resolve purported FBI investigations; and send cash to help US Army officers in Afghanistan, according to court papers. Her ill-gotten gains were deposited in Montrage’s Bronx bank accounts before she wired much of the money to her native Ghana, authorities said.”

Hajia4Reall will be deported to Ghana after serving her jail term.
