Act Now, IGP! – Dampare Asked To Arrest NDC ‘Hooligans’
“IGP should act”, Kwasi Kwarteng calls on Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to deploy his officers to intervene in the private and public companies takeover by some supporters of the governing National Democratic Congress.
Kwasi Kwarteng, a former Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education, bemoaned the silence of the IGP regarding the vandalisms perpetrated by some persons believed to belong to the ruling party.
These persons have since the December 7 general elections last year been raiding State and private properties and engaging in further violent acts.
An unfortunate incident resulting in the death of eight persons occurred at AngloGold Ashanti over the weekend where some illegal miners attempted to invade the company’s mine shaft.
The invaders were met with gunshots from military personnel protecting the company.
Joining Monday’s panel on “Kokrokoo” morning show aired on Peace FM, Kwasi Kwarteng wondered why no arrests have been made so far.
He called on the Police to effectively maintain law and order in the country and also called on the President, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, to control his supporters.
“The President should demonstrate leadership. The party people should call party people to order and most importantly the IGP should act”, he asserted.
