AirMed ‘Cocaine’ Scandal: What’s Ntim Fordjour’s Crime? – Sam Pyne Condemns NIB Arrest

Former Mayor of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, Sam Pyne has condemned the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) attempted arrest of the Member of Parliament for Assin South, John Ntim Fordjour.
On Wednesday, April 9, some armed persons clad in NIB uniforms and wearing masks went to John Ntim Fordjour’s house to arrest the lawmaker but their action was prevented when leaders of the New Patriotic Party and Minority Caucus marched into the house in protest.
The NIB invasion is said to be related to Ntim Fordjour’s allegations regarding AirMed flight N823AM and a private jet that landed at the Kotoka International Airport in March this year.
The lawmaker alleged that the aircraft carried illegal substances, linking it to cocaine smuggling and money laundering, into the country and called for investigations.

President’s Spoksperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has denied the allegations resulting in this subsequent action to arrest Ntim Fordjour.
But Sam Pyne wonders why the government wants Ntim Fordjour arrested for raising concerns over national issues.
“What crime has he committed? Is he the pilot who brought the plane? Have you seen him import cocaine or launder money?”, he questioned.
He made these remarks on Peace FM’s flagship programme “Kokrokoo”.
