Appointments Committee ’Fight’: This Is So Disgusting! – Nana Akomea

STC boss, Nana Akomea has lambasted the Members of Parliament over their violent conduct during the vetting of ministerial appointees last Thursday.
The minority and majority caucuses on the Appointments Committee engaged in altercations, destroying tables and microphones while arguing whether or not to carry on the vetting of two appointees namely Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minster-designate for Foreign Affairs, and Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, Health Minister-designate.
This misconduct has compelled the Speaker to suspend 4 members of the House.
Those sanctioned comprise both members of the majority and minority caucuses in the persons of Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor and Frank Annoh-Dompreh.
The others are Alhassan Sulemana Tampuli and Jerry Ahmed Shaib.
Nana Akomea has described the MPs’ behavior as very disgusting and questioned their impact on the youth.
“It is disgusting. MPs, this is not right at all. What signal are you sending to school children; secondary students? That when they are angry, they should destroy school properties or what? It’s not good; very disgraceful!”, he expressed his disappointment.
He gave this remark on “Kokrokoo” morning show on Peace FM.
