Richard Ahiagbah, the National Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party, has called for the arrest of scrap dealers in the country.

Mr. Ahiagbah raised concerns over the activities of the scrap dealers which he noted are detrimental to the nation.

He wonder why no punitive actions are taken against these people stressing the “scraps” they sell are not manufactured by them but rather they steal valuable items to peddle.

“I think we have to make sure when you find those people, they have to be arrested. Where did they get the ‘scraps’ from?”, he said on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show.

He also opined that those who purchase the scraps must be fetched and punished.

“They should be liable for buying something that you know the buyer didn’t manufacture the thing he is selling to you.”
