Asamoah Gyan Still Unhappy…Dede Ayew Took Captain Band By Force – Laryea Kingston Reveals

Laryea Kingston, a former Ghana midfielder, has dropped a bombshell on a bitter relationship between Ghana’s Andre Dede Ayew and legendary skipper, Asamoah Gyan.

According to Laryea Kingston, Asamoah Gyan remains embittered towards Dede Ayew because the latter took over the captaincy of the Black Stars illegitimately.

Gyan, who happens to be Ghana’s all-time top scorer, was stripped of the captain position days before the start of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.

Following this incident, Asamoah Gyan failed to play for the national team and recently retired from active football.

According to a Graphic Sports interview with Laryea Kingston, Gyan is still unhappy with this treatment.

“Look at someone like Asamoah Gyan, Dede Ayew got the captaincy by force so if you are speaking to Asamoah now he is not happy”, he stated.

He also recounted a bad experience he underwent during his days of playing for the Black Stars.

“Myself what they did to me for so many years I never supported the Black Stars but just recently I sat down and said it’s over let me focus.”
