ASEPA Issues 48-Hour Ultimatum To Health Ministry To Clear Family Planning Drugs At Tema Port

The Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability (ASEPA) has reprimanded the Ministry of Health for failing to clear family planning medications which, according to them, have sat at the Tema port for 6 months.

In a statement, ASEPA has issued 48-hour ultimatum to the Ministry to clear the drugs at the port or face their wrath.

“We are thereby giving the Ministry of Health and Ghana Health Service 48 hours to clear these medications from the port. After the 48-hour ultimatum, ASEPA would mobilize well-meaning Ghanaian women who are in serious need of these family planning medications to demonstrate at the Ministry until the medications are cleared.”
