The increasing momentum of Vice President and NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign went another level this Sunday when two Christian congregations gave him a rousing reception.
Dr. Bawumia continuing his campaign tour in the Greater Accra Region was in the Weija Constituency and paid a visit to the Holiness Pentecostal Church located at New Gbawe, the Church of Pentecost (Mandela Assembly) at New Weija, Presbyterian Church of Ghana (Jerusalem Assembly) and the Church of Pentecost in the Kasoa area of Ayigbe Town.
He was greeted by enthusiastic people who offered him a warm reception amidst singing songs of praises and offering prayers for him.
At the Holiness Pentecostal Church, the Head Pastor prayed for the Lord to “remember his son (Dr. Bawumia) and let what he has ordained for him come to pass”.
At the Church of Pentecost, Mandela Assembly, they thanked God for the life of Dr. Bawumia while chanting “our incoming President”.
Speaking at the various congregations, Dr. Bawumia underlined the significance of God’s will, particularly, in his endeavour to lead the country.
“Unless the Lord build the house, we will labour in vain. This is why I put God first in everything I do because as Jesus Christ said with God, all things are possible.”
“I believe that with God’s hands in what we are doing, things will be possible. That is why my campaign slogan is ‘it is possible’”, Dr. Bawumia said.
Dr. Bawumia called for prayers for peaceful elections to preserve the nation saying “this election is very important for the future of our country but the most important is the peace of this country”.
He continued; “So, it is important for all of us to run our campaign in a manner that will preserve the peace of this country. We also need the prayers of all of you, the pastors and all of you for the peace of this country.”
“I also request the prayers of all of you for special favours from the Lord so that victory will be ours, myself and Jerry, the parliamentary candidate.”
