Bawumia’s Credit Score Will Expand Businesses – Kofi Tonto

Government Spokesperson, Kofi Tonto has eulogized Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s credit score policy for Ghanaians.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has promised to implement a credit score system to ensure Ghanaians buy commodities on credit.

This system, though to the New Patriotic Party will help the average citizen, has been severely criticized by the opposition National Democratic Congress and a section of the society as they feel it wouldn’t serve its purpose.

The critics are less confident the Vice President will honor his word to the citizenry.

Speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show on Friday, September 6, Kofi Tonto, without a shred of doubt, stated that Dr. Bawumia will deliver on his promises.

He  explained the credit score system as an effective mechanism to boost businesses and promote local production.

Kofi Tonto was highly optimistic that allowing people to purchase commodities on credit basis will ease the financial stress on them.

“It will expand businesses. It will increase production because credit system creates what we call demand and production can only go up when there’s demand for it”, he justified the policy.
