Be Prepared To Arrest All Of Us If… – Nana B Warns Prez Mahama

The National Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye has warned President John Dramani Mahama to stop terrorizing Ghanaians who share varied opinions on his decisions and actions.
He asked the President to refrain from using national security operatives to arrest people.
National Security Raids
Since the inception of the Mahama administration, several individuals, particularly pro-NPP loyalists, have been receiving unwelcomed visits from the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).
First incident captured armed soldiers, later disclosed as national security operatives, raiding the private residence of the former Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, without permission.
The raid was reportedly led by Richard Jakpa, the Director of Special Operations at the National Security Secretariat.
Also, on Wednesday, March 19, another team led by Jakpa stormed the home of former Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Ernest Addison, disabling his CCTV and claiming to look for a vault in his residence.
While this was happening, another incident of a broadcaster picked up by the NIB in the middle of the road was reported by the press.
Okatakyie Afrifa’s Arrest
NIB apprehended Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah, host of social media show “For The Records”, after writing his exams at GIMPA.
The arrest, according to sources, was because of Okatakyie’s intense and constant criticisms about the players in illegal mining (galamsey) in Ghana.
Okatakyie Afrifa has been very critical of the Mahama government regarding their approach to fighting galamsey.
He has made several statements about how the government lacks the political will to combat this mining menace endangering the lives of Ghanaians and further mentioned that some national security operatives and government officials are deeply involved in the illegal mining activities.
Nana B Warns Govt
Henry Nana Boakye has therefore served notice to the President that he will have to arrest all of his critics and political opponents like himself if he is to continue embarking on this journey of intolerance.
The NPP stalwart, widely called Nana B, stated emphatically that, Okatakyie Afrifa’s rants about the government are just a starter indicating there is more to come.
“If this is what they will continue to do, then they will arrest all of us because we haven’t even started. If this is what they want to do, then they should be prepared to arrest all of us”, he said in an interview on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show.
