‘Believe Whatever You Want…I’m Tired’ – GWR Sing-a-Thon Contender, Afua Asantewaa Responds To Trolls
Guinness World Record Ghanaian Sing-a-thon contender, Afua Asantewaa has sent a caustic reply to her naysayers.
Afua Asantewaa, in December 2023, engaged in a singing marathon singing hundreds of songs non-stop to set a new Guinness world record.
Following her over 120 hours of singing marathon, she is yet to receive news regarding her performance and to ascertain whether or not she has set a new record.
As she awaits her result from the organizers of the record, some people have taken to social media trolling her over the delay.
Afua Asantewaa, who has not really directly reacted to her cyber-bullying, has finally responded to the trolls.
According to her, those who hope to see her disqualified should believe whatever they want, stressing she is tired of people wishing evil for her.
She however asserted that no matter the outcome of her record attempt, she will continue to enjoy her life.
“There are a lot we can do as Ghanaian youth rather than hating each other…whatever the result is or will be, my family, those who love me, my kids and everyone, if it comes and we have the record; we will party hard. If it comes and they say, you know what because of this, this and that, you don’t deserve it, we still party hard; we move!”
“…there are men who attempt sing-a-thon and they were rushed to the hospital. There was a guy who attempted in one of the countries and was rushed on the 3rd day. I’m the only female who has ever attempted sing-a-thon and even completed the attempt. There are men like you who started and could not finish. You that you are sitting there wishing me evil or wishing me bad, stand on your feet for even 5 hours, your family will go and buy coffin right now; you are sitting here saying trash. I don’t easily get angry, don’t annoy me…”, she fired back at her critics.
