Bole NDC Supporters’ Riot: This Is Not A Good Start; You’re Destroying Mahama’s Goodwill – Atik

Social commentator, Atik Mohammed has cautioned NDC supporters in Bole-Bamboi in the Savannah Region over their violent behavior.
Some supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Bole have accused President John Dramani Mahama of neglecting the Bole-Bamboi Member of Parliament, Alhaji Yusif Sulemana, in his ministerial appointments.
In response to what they perceive as a snub, the party supporters gathered outside President Mahama’s father’s residence in Bole, burning car tires to express their dissatisfaction about the situation.
Reacting to this, Atik registered his displeasure stressing the NDC supporters are gradually discrediting the President who is also a prominent native of the community.
“You are destroying the goodwill by your actions”, he said while discussing the issue on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show.
To him, the supporters’ agitation is “needless and in my view, if they destroyed any property, that is criminal and the Police must move in swiftly”.
Further condemning the action, he stressed; “This is not a good beginning for someone who hails from your community and has been your MP for many years and it was not as if he abandoned Savannah. The Ministry of Energy has been given to Savannah, what else could you ask for?”
“It is not a good signal to your President and our President. It is not a good start at all”, he exclaimed.
