Celebrating a Decade of Empowering Youth at iYES 2024!

The International Youth Empowerment Summit (iYES) recently celebrated its monumental 10th anniversary with an awe-inspiring four-night, three-day event focused on empowering young individuals and fostering impactful change.

A Decade of Empowerment and Impact

iYES has become renowned for its annual gatherings that empower, support, and inspire young individuals.

This year’s event, themed “Impact!”, marked a significant milestone.

The conference attracted influential speakers from politics, entertainment, academia, and the clergy, making it a unique platform for youth empowerment.

The Unforgettable Opening Night

The event commenced with a powerful message from Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, emphasizing that young people can be used by God to make a difference.

The following day featured high achievers from various fields. Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, famous for her Guinness World Record Sing-a-thon achievement, shared her story of tenacity and resilience.

Prof Amartey delivered a thought-provoking message on personal development, using his own experiences as illustrations.

Evening sessions were filled with vibrant praise, worship, and powerful messages from gospel ministers.

Dr. Sonnie Badu and Dr. Lawrence Tetteh delivered impactful messages, leading the youth in fervent prayer and impartation.

These sessions left attendees inspired and spiritually uplifted.

The third day featured interview with Pastor Brian and sessions with esteemed individuals, providing insights and experiences. opened with a short interview with Pastor Brian to delve into the trajectory of iYES and the journey thus far.

Pastor Brian Amoateng, the Convener and Youth Ambassador, shared that the past ten years had been a myriad of emotions.

He described it as a journey of impact and pain, but the abundance of testimonies and success stories from young people since IYES’s debut in 2015 keeps him motivated.

The morning session was graced by Joyce Bawa, Prophet Bernard Taylor, Hon. Sammi Awuku, Madam Faustina Nelson, Hon Sam George, Stan Dogbe, among many others.

Hon. Sammi Awuku spoke on leveraging opportunities while Obuobia Darko-Opoku shared her political journey, encouraging young people to be never give up when they experience failure Dr Frank Ofosu Appiah shared on why Impact is necessary.

7 young entrepreneurs and small business owners were each given a one-minute opportunity to showcase their products and services and pitch for potential investment before a highly-resourced audience.

This drew the curtains for the morning session of day 3.


Later that evening, Pastor Brian led the audience in a powerful time of prayer after the praise and worship session.

Minister Yadah of ‘ I am the one you have shown mercy’ together with other seasoned gospel ministers literally brought down heaven with their ministrations.

Amongst the members of the clergy who were in attendance were Rev Kwadwo Bempah and Prophet Daniel Amoateng.

Apostle Charles Osazuwa, a renowned Pastor in Nigeria with one of the largest churches made his debut appearance at iYES on that night.

He spoke on the ‘7 questions every individual must ask in the midst of revival. He was full of appreciation and encouragement for Pastor Brian.

He indicated that, through iYES, Pastor Brian is raising men not money.

Bishop Tudor Bismark from Zimbabwe came in next with a powerful message on the discipline of commitment to close the night.

The morning session of Day 4 morning again opened with Bishop Tudor Bismark, Apostle Charles Osazuwa and Dr Frank Ofosu Appiah recapping their messages from the previous night.

There was a question and answer session which allowed participants to ask these resource persons all the questions which boggled their minds.

The highlight of the day was when the former President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama and his running mate Prof Jane Naana Agyemang graced the conference with their presence.

This was indeed remarkable and a great sight to behold.


The event concluded with a powerful National Youth All-night, where souls were saved, minds were transformed, and hands were equipped for work.

The All-night provided a platform for prayer, worship, and spiritual guidance, leaving attendees ready to make a positive impact. Prophet Nanasei Opoku Sarkodie preached on salvation and holiness and did an altar Call which saw hundreds of young people run to the front to surrender their lives to Jesus.

Pastor Brian also led us in a time of prayer. In the course of the night, we were pleased to be surprised by Rev Eastwood Anaba. Rev Dr. Ampiah-Kwofie crowned the night with intense prayer and manifestations followed.

The success of iYES 2024 in Accra, Ghana has set the stage for future events.

iYES USA in June 2024 and the National Youth All-Night in Kumasi in October 2024 will further empower and connect young individuals across Ghana and beyond.
