Conduct Your Business Without Partiality – Prez Akufo-Addo Charges EC

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has charged the Electoral Commission to conduct the December 7 polls without partiality.
He advised the electoral management body to uphold its virtues as an independent institution with integrity.
Delivering a speech at the the annual Conference of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) in Kumasi, the President stressed the Commission must “ensure that the process is fair to all parties, and that the results reflect the true will of the people”.
He added; “The commission should also ensure that all logistical arrangements are in place to facilitate a smooth voting process and any disputes that arise are handled expeditiously and transparently.”
The conference themed “Peaceful, Fair And Transparent Elections: The Key To Sustainable Democracy” was attended by legal luminaries, members of the GBA, members of the legal profession and their leadership as well as leadership of the Judiciary which included members of the Judicial Council, Justices of the Supreme Court (both retired and in active service) and Ministers of State among others.
