CONFIRMED: Mahama Retains Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang As Running Mate

President John Dramani Mahama has retained former Education Minister, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as his Running Mate for the 2024 election.

This is the second time Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has become Mahama’s Running Mate.

She partnered the former President and three-time leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 elections.

Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, according to sources close to the NDC and  reliable information disclosed to Ghmessenger, has received overwhelming endorsement from the Council of Elders of the party and will be officially unveiled next week.

The party, according to its General Secretary, Fiifi Kwetey, will hold a meeting with the elders at 11 am and the National Executive Council at 3 pm on March 7 to deliberate on John Mahama’s nominee.

“In response to this communication, the party is pleased to announce that a meeting of the Council of Elders will convene at 11:00 hrs on Thursday, 7 March 2024, to deliberate on this significant matter. Subsequently, the National Executive Committee will gather at 14:00 hrs on the same day to further consider the nomination”, Fiifi Kwetey said in a press release dated Tuesday, 27 February 2024.
