Dampare Never Helped Ghana – NPP Communicator Commends Mahama
Ernest Adade, a member of the New Patriotic Party’s communication team, has lambasted the immediate past Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.
The NPP stalwart, speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, stated emphatically that Dr. Dampare failed to effectively safeguard Ghanaians.
He accused Dampare of giving much latitude to the especially fanatics of the ruling National Democratic Congress to misbehave and cause havoc during and after the 2024 elections.
To him, these and many other incidents show how unprofessional Dampare became, all because he wanted to be retained in office by President John Dramani Mahama.
President John Dramani Mahama, on Thursday, March 13, relieved Dr. George Akuffo Dampare of his position as the Inspector General of Police and appointed his Deputy as replacement.
Commissioner of Police (COP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno is currently Ghana’s IGP and to Ernest Adade, the President even took too long to remove Dampare.
“I have never been a fan of Dampare. In my opinion, he didn’t help this nation. In fact, his dismissal by President Mahama was long overdue”, he stated.
