Dec 7 Elections: I Will Buy Ghana If You Don’t Vote For Me – Cheddar Cautions Ghanaians
Founder and leader of the New Force, a political movement, Nana Kwame Bediako alias Cheddar has shocked many Ghanaians with his recent utterances.
The Ghanaian entrepreneur who is widely known for his opulent living, in an interview with TV3 and quoted by Ghanaweb on his presidential ambition and policies for Ghanaians, stated emphatically that should the citizenry fail to vote him into power in 2025, he will return to buy the entire country.
According to him, he is on a mission to raise a million millionaires and take 10% shares from them which eventually will push his riches higher enough to purchase Ghana.
“If I create a million millionaires and take 10% from each person, I will definitely be richer than the country, so be careful. Ghanaians might not want me today, but when I return, I will be back to buy the country”, he asserted.
Cheddar was in latest news for having promised to send sea to Kumasi in the Ashanti Region but critics find his promise unrealistic as it near impossible to relocate nor dredge the sea to transport a portion to Kumasi.
The businessman who also goes by the nickname “IamFreedom” expounding on his “sea” policy for Kumasi cited Dubai which has seen a complete transformation and serves as a tourism avenue for people all over the world.
He said; “I have traveled all over the world…When you go to Dubai, it was a desert but they now have a sea. This is one of the things I’d like to do for Kumasi; that I will dredge and bring the sea there”, adding “so, we can bring ships to Kumasi. We are in 2024; we no longer have to take containers one by one from Tema harbor to Kumasi. Sometimes, it takes about 6 hours before one container will reach there and sometimes, by the time, the container gets there, some of the goods are destroyed while when you create a sea or railway, within 1 hour, there will be 500 containers. So, I am here, I want to open the Western corridor, the Eastern corridor, the infrastructure”.
But Cheddar says if Ghanaians reject him in this year’s December 7 polls, he will buy the country itself.
