Dec 7 Election: NPP To Win 128 Seats In Parliament; NDC Gets 92

The New Patriotic Party has been ticked to clinch a clear majority in the 9th Parliament next year.

The party, according to a recent survey conducted by Prof. Smart Sarpong, will lead the opposition National Democratic Congress by a wide margin.

Currently, Parliament has been split into equal halves between the NPP Majority and NDC Minority Caucuses with both having 137 seats and 1 independent candidate who has joined forces with the majority side.

Prof. Smart Sarpong’s research findings released on Thursday, November 21, indicates that the New Patriotic Party is likely to have 128 seats while the National Democratic Congress grabs 92 in the December 7 elections.

There is a remaining 56 constituencies which, according to the survey, are up for a take with NPP and NDC estimatedly to win equal share.

Prof. Smart Sarpong adds that the NPP could increase their seats in the Legislative House stressing “it is clear from this report that by close of elections 2024, NPP shall secure NOT LESS THAN 148 SEATS in parliament”.

Prof. Smart Sarpong came to these conclusions after sampling responses from over 90000 people across the 276 constituencies nationwide.

His research was further based on over 4000 communities in the country.
