Dec 7 Polls: God Gave Us The Number 1 Position – Bawumia 

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has glorified God for his number one position on the ballot paper for the 2024 presidential election.

Dr. Bawumia got the number 1 after the NPP representative at a balloting held by the Electoral Commission picked the much-sought-after number twice.

Speaking during his interaction with the congregation of the Church of Pentecost at Breman Asikuma in the Central Region, Dr. Bawumia attributed this to the will of God saying “there are so many things men cannot do but we believe God can do everything. There is nothing God cannot do…whatever we do, we have to put our faith and trust in God. Once we put our trust in God, things will go well.”

“Two days ago, we went for the balloting to select the order of the ballot for voting. We prayed to the Lord and we believe that God listened to our prayers. God gave us the number one position, so we are grateful to God”, Dr. Bawumia said.

The NPP representative during the balloting, first picked the number one position but it was nullified after NDC representatives protested the procedure, resulting in heated arguments which lasted for half an hour.

However, the NPP representatives refused to yield to the NDC’s nullification proposal and after sanity prevailed for the process to start again, they surprisingly picked the number one position again.

In respect of the turn of event, many Ghanaians describe Dr. Bawumia’s number one position as divine.
