Dec Elections: We’re Going To Vote; Not Shoot Bullets – NPP Youth Leader To Ghanaians

Salam Mustapha

NPP National Youth Organizer, Salam Mustapha has urged Ghanaian electorates not to sacrifice their lives in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.

Salam Mustapha, contributing to Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, advised the electorates to conduct themselves within the frontiers of the elections.

“We are duty-bound to protect our members as well and protect our ballots. Of course, we work with the security agencies. I don’t take away the role of the security of Police; they should come in”, he said while cautioning members and supporters of all political parties, particularly the two largest parties – New Patriotic Party and National Democratic Congress – against engaging in electoral malpractices and violence.

Salam called for peace and stability to prevail in the elections saying “we are going into elections to vote; not to throw bullets…You can’t wrap your head around it. It’s very disturbing that people die during elections”.

The NPP youth leader strongly believed the December 7 polls will be in favor of the New Patriotic Party.
