Democracy Hub Demo: Protesters Used Galamsey As ‘Decoy’ – Gideon Boako

Dr. Gideon Boako says the Democracy Hub protesters used galamsey as a “decoy” to advance their political agenda.
The Tano North parliamentary aspirant, speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, noted that the demonstrators do not have interest of Ghanaians at heart.
Over 30 Democracy Hub protesters are currently in Police custody after being arraigned before the court over their misconduct during their demonstration.
They were arrested after they vandalized some properties belonging to the ruling New Patriotic Party, blocked the principal street to the 37 Military Hospital and provoked the Police by removing keys to their vehicle and throwing it away among other acts of vandalism.
To Dr. Gideon Boako, some of the demonstrators need psychological evaluation as they exhibited “psychopathic tendencies”.
Particularly mentioning Oliver Baker-Vormawor, one of the organizers of the demonstration, Gideon Boako stressed these protesters only hit the streets for their greedy and selfish gains.
“These Democracy Hub protesters used galamsey just as a smokescreen. It’s merely a decoy. Their motive has nothing to do with galamsey. Okay. It is more political than conservationism. So, they didn’t demonstrate because they want to fight galamsey; it is more political”, he stated.
He added; “You will barely have a genuine demonstration against any government two or three months to election.”
